High quality nylon strung classical guitars, combine power and sound characteristics, with exceptional playability and performance.
It’s in this field that the Santos Martinez skilled craftsmen excel, they are experts in the art of making outstanding nylon strung classical and electro-classical guitars, highly respected by amateur, semi-pro and professional players around the world for their playability, visual appeal and exceptional tonal qualities.
The Santos Martinez Allegro Single Cutaway Electro-Classic features a premium grade, solid cedar soundboard, and with a back and sides crafted from high grade flamed mahogany, the Santos Martinez Allegro is a beautiful example.
Fine illustrations of this respected company’s attention to detail include, dark wood and maple body bindings, a capped heal, detailed rosette inlay, pau ferro fingerboard, profile-contoured capped headstock with engraved SM logo, maple inlay and gold-plated machine heads with black buttons.
Whilst the Allegro electro-classic is visually stunning, it’s from the choice of these finest tonewoods that this gorgeous instrument delivers excellent bass, mid-range and treble response.
Cedar itself, produces a naturally warm, mellow sound that enriches further with age and, a much loved combination when paired with mahogany which supplies plenty of punch, added warmth and sustain.
Superb note clarity is notably apparent when playing arpeggio style chords or indeed, the more aggressive and typical rasgueado, Spanish and flamenco fast finger strumming techniques.
The Allegro electro-classic’s vibrant and exceptional sustaining qualities are accurately delivered onward to amplifiers, desks, or recording equipment via Fishman’s ever popular Clasica II preamp with Volume, Bass, Treble and Phase controls, and a built-in Tuner.
The inlaid bridge, precision cut, bone nut and saddle also contribute to the warm and mellow tone, which makes this fine acoustic guitar ideal for electric and steel-strung guitarists making the move to classical.
With a gleaming high gloss finish, the Santos Martinez Allegro Single Cutaway Electro-Classic is a joy to play at home, in the studio or in concert, performing way beyond its price point.
